Last weekend was not only the start of the second week of Chinese New Year, it was also the 3rd Penang Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.

There were a total of 16 hot air balloons, by balloonists from 8 different countries. The fiesta attracted 170,000 visitors.

Celebrating the Chinese New Year was the Rooster balloon. There were also a red octopus-shaped balloon from Japan and “Simba the Lion” balloon from Belgium.

The fiesta also featured “Tethered Balloon Rides” and “Cold Inflation” or walking in the balloon.

I wonder if the same balloons would be at Klang Valley next month?
