Crafted for those looking to achieve maximum image quality from a lightweight lens, the AF-S NIKKOR 300MM F/4E PF ED VR incorporates Nikon’s Phase Fresnel (PF) lens element for the first time in NIKKOR lenses, resulting in a remarkably light 755 grams. Photographers will also enjoy the immense flexibility needed to get the perfectly timed shot as the highly portable AF-S NIKKOR 300MM F/4E PF ED VR also features a Vibration Reduction (VR) system of 4.5 stops, thus enabling the omission of a tripod. The innovative Phase Fresnel lens element, exclusively from Nikon, is a significant introduction for the new AF-S NIKKOR 300MM F/4E PF ED VR. Its adoption leads a breakthrough design with a smaller and lighter body, without compromising on quality.

The lens design also includes a trio consisting of the PF lens element, Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass element and Nano Crystal Coat to perfectly work in tandem for minimised chromatic aberration and ghosting. The lens is built for adventure as a highly durable fluorine coat is applied to the lens front effectively repels dust, water droplets, grease or dirt, ensuring easy removal even if they adhere to the lens surface, while partnering a high-speed autofocusing that is accurate and quiet, the AF-S NIKKOR 300MM F/4E PF ED VR also incorporates NIKKOR’s unique Silent Wave Motor (SWM). The AF-S NIKKOR 300MM F/4E PF ED VR will be available in early February 2015.

Another lightweight companion is the remarkably compact AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200MM F/4-5.6G ED VR II that allows photographers to shoot gorgeous panoramas, exciting close-ups and everything in between effortlessly. Vibration Reduction (VR) in the AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200MM F/4-5.6G ED VR II minimizes image blur caused by camera shake from overeager or tired hands when photo opportunities are endless on an excursion. The VR provides an effect equivalent of shooting at a shutter speed 4.0 stops. To incorporate a swift and silent auto focusing, the Silent Wave Motor (SWM) technology is also incorporated into the compact lens. Weighing at approximately 300 grams, this small companion offers greater convenience in capturing the perfect shot, along with the possibility of packing more lenses for a shoot or simply travelling lighter.
