What is fashion without hair? A Cut Above tells it all. After three solid decades of establishing themselves as one of Malaysia’s top hair saloons, A Cut Above does it yet again, bigger and more jaw dropping than ever before. Returning to celebrate 34 years of prominence, A Cut Above rocked the runway of Mid Valley Megamall Fashion Week 2013 with a showcase of skills. Having evolved in leaps and bounds, the hair show was aptly titled ‘Amazing 34’. They are showcasing awe – inspiring creations from the streets and punks, edgy runway trends of today with a twist, to an astounding Avant – garde collection. The creative team consist of Joe T’ng, Faevien Yee, Sam Chau and Dicksum Low together with Winnie Loo, the mastermind behind the show concept.

Inspired by the era where men weren’t too particular about showing off their feminine sides, this collection explores the feminine side of men while retaining masculinity.


Streets & Punk by Sam Chau and team

Inspired by street culture, everyday life of youth that likes to rebel in some form but they are truly creative people. Hair, fashion & music direction comes from “Punk”.


Obsessed by Faevien Yee

Inspired by British fashion designer Gareth Pugh, the collection is a cross between superheroes and sci – fi fiction, a fantasy – like reality where one is obsessed by self consumption and power.
